Book on Parent Coaching launched by ACPI Director Dr. Caron B. Goode

August 11th, 2007 (Texas): Director of Academy for Coaching Parents International, Dr. Caron B. Goode today launched a book entitled 'The Art and Science of Coaching Parents: building a home-based business'. ACPI is a distance-learning academy, which provides a certificate program that trains individuals for a career in the field of parent coaching.

On the occasion, Dr. Goode remarked, “Parents today face more child-rearing challenges than previous generations. Two-career families, busy agendas, overbooked schedules and isolation from such 'tried and true' support systems as older relatives are just a few of the many problems they face. Any of these things can result in parental uncertainties and family crises which makes the new and growing profession of parent coaching an urgent need. Until now, there has been no book available for those caring individuals who want to help parents and their children by specializing in the field of parent coaching, in addition to establishing a lucrative home based business.”

'The Art and Science of Coaching Parents' is written as a trade business book for those who want to establish a home based business in the field of parent coaching. Dr. Goode's book serves as a business guide for all professionals who are just starting out in the specialized field of parent coaching.

With 200 pages and 20 chapters, the book is divided into 3 sections, each focusing on an important aspect of parent coaching. Section 1 gives an introduction to the history of parent coaching, Section 2 talks extensively about the techniques and skills used in the process while the 3rd and final section takes an in depth look into the business side of it. In short, 'The Art and Science of Coaching Parents' is an all-encompassing dossier for anyone who is interested in parent coaching.
