The Amigos for Christ Music Festival is Saturday October 6, 2007 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm at Suwanee Town Center Park, one of the best outdoor venues in Georgia. The free event features arts and crafts, a variety of delicious food selections, inflatable games and fun for the whole family. Onstage there will be live music flowing all afternoon and evening. Local favorites Banks and Shane will perform, followed by emerging jam band sensations Starting Tuesday and Florez.

Capping the evening is Caedmon's Call, the acclaimed Christian rock band, whose music ministry is sensitive to global issues such as poverty. This event is a celebration of brotherhood, benefiting the poor of Nicaragua. Since the devastation of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, Amigos for Christ has responded to the extreme need of its victims.

The Buford, Ga. non-profit organization has built homes, schools, clinics and a surgical hospital in northwest Chinandega. Over 20 mission teams from around the USA perform continuing voluntary medical, physical and spiritual assistance each year. Amigos for Christ hopes that this annual event will educate the public about their mission and raise the funds necessary to continue in 2008.
