New York Marriott East Side Modernizes Hotel Accommodations on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan

New York, NY August 11, 2007 – The New York Marriott East Side hotel has just completed a $27 million renovation of its guest rooms, concierge lounge and fitness center that has brought high-tech and plush comfort to its modern classic hotel accommodations in midtown Manhattan. The Lexington Avenue hotel’s rich historic design has been infused with contemporary furnishings and hi-tech features for today’s traveler. All 646 rooms and suites have undergone makeovers to accommodate travelers looking for hotel accommodations in Manhattan– from those who work from their guest rooms, to “experience” travelers, who like to travel with all the entertainment comforts of home.

The guest room color palette is soft gold with rust red accents and features Marriott’s new bedding package, with duvet covers, plush pillows, and custom-designed headboards with adjustable headboard lighting. Many rooms include ergonomically designed swivel desks, chairs and consoles, with Marriott’s “Plug and Play” technology. As a true New York modern hotel, all rooms now have 32-inch High Definition TVs or signals, wireless high speed internet access, sleek single-cup coffeemakers, and mini-refrigerators.
