New York, New York - August 10, 2007 - UrGossip.com - Digg.com, the original social news site has become one of the top sites of today. Because of it's amazing success many people have duplicated it's format and concept. One such site is UrGossip.com a news site that focuses solely on celebrity news and gossip. Unlike these other "Digg clones" UrGossip has thanked Digg and it's founders for their concept. "I wanted to give credit where it truly is deserved" says UrGossip founder, Andrew Galasetti. Andrew goes on to say, "I have posted a thank you to Kevin Rose and the Digg crew in the UrGossip.com blog (http://urgossip.wordpress.com), as well as displayed "Original Concept by Digg" at the footer of UrGossip.com." Some Digg clones go as far as to block any use of the word Digg in submissions to their site."Digg has changed the way media on the internet works and how people read their news" says Andrew. He goes on to say "Digg is helping people learn sometimes without them even knowing it." When the founders of Digg, Kevin Rose, Owen Byrne, Ron Gorodetzky, and Jay Adelson were creating Digg in 2004, they probably didn't think it was going to become such a powerful force on the internet.
