Peak District restaurant offers winner free wine for a year!

Anyone attending the wine tasting evening and traveling by train will be given the chance to put their outbound train ticket in a hat, and a draw will be made at the end of the evening. The lucky winner of the draw will then be entitled to a free bottle of wine worth up to £20 - every time they book a table for four at The Maynard….as many times as they want throughout the next entire year. The Maynard’s director Paul Downing, said: “We are so close to Grindleford Station that it makes sense to capitalise on the opportunity – especially as driving is becoming less and less enjoyable for many people with the volume of traffic and state of the roads. The train is not only a greener option, you can also enjoy your wine properly if you leave the car at home.”

For anyone traveling from Dore or Sheffield station, The Maynard will already refund standard class train fares, provided at least 4 people book in advance and order at least 2 courses each, including a main course. This train ticket refund offer has now been extended to include the wine tasting evening – when booking your wine tasting tickets quote TRAIN OFFER and you will receive a full refund of standard class return train fares from Dore or Sheffield.

The wine tasting event on 5 September starts at 7.30pm and includes a three course Italian style meal and a taste of all John Hattersley’s recommended Italian wines. Ticket price £30.

The train from Dore and Sheffield conveniently gets into Grindleford just before 7.30pm and departs at the equally convenient time of around 11.20pm.
