Wilson Electronics, a leading manufacturer of cellular amplifiers and antennas, announces a new in-building wireless dual-band cellular amplifier featuring innovative Smart Technology™ that protects carrier cell sites from interference. Wilson’s new small office/home office (SOHO) bi-directional cellular amplifiers substantially improve signal quality and strength for both voice and data, especially in weak signal areas.
What this means for customers is much stronger cellular signal when and where they need it most, which results in fewer dropped calls and disconnects. It also means accelerated data, music and video downloads when using cellular air cards on a laptop.
The SOHO dual-band, Cellular / PCS amplifier improves the signal in the 800 and 1900 MHz bands by 50 decibels, allowing for multiple phones and carriers to be amplified at the same time. Wilson-engineered Smart Technology™ enables these bi-directional amplifiers to automatically adjust their power based on the cell site’s requirements, thus preventing overload of the carrier’s network or interference with other users on the system.
The new SOHO dual-band amplifier is available to customers in several different configurations for mobile use in recreational vehicles and marine craft, as well as building use in home offices, apartments, hotels and high-rise offices. Depending upon the signal needs, these configurations can include attic-mounted or roof-mounted antennas or just interior window-mounted antennas. In all configurations, Wilson’s SOHO signal booster will greatly improve voice and data signal quality and throughput.
“With the addition of the new SOHO amplifiers to our product line, we now have solutions for small, medium and large applications,” said Walt Brooks, Wilson’s retail sales manager. “Our new wireless SOHO booster provides increased signal range and quality for most voice and data devices, which is good news for cellular users as well as carriers.”
The Wilson SOHO signal booster is wireless and requires no physical connection to a cell phone or cellular data card. It works on all generations of CDMA, TDMA, GSM and the latest high-speed data technologies. Wilson offers wide-ranging cellular solutions for mobile, office and home use.
