KKE Architects Adds Industry Veteran John G. Deenihan as Principal and Director of Operations in Pasadena, Calif - Deenihan to Expand Client Services in Pasadena & China

PASADENA, CALIF. – Award-winning KKE Architects, Inc., headquartered in Minneapolis, with offices in Pasadena; Las Vegas and Irvine, Calif., announced today the hiring of well-known industry veteran John G. Deenihan, AIA as Principal and Director of Operations for the rapidly growing Pasadena Office Operations which now approaches 70 people. With more than 35 years of experience in architecture and interior design, Deenihan was most recently a Principal and Director, Retail Studio for Rothenberg Sawasy Architects, Inc. in Los Angeles and was responsible for establishing the company’s Beijing office in 2002. He will be based in the KKE’s Pasadena office. "We are extremely happy to add such an industry icon to the KKE team," said KKE's Director and Managing Principal Brian Arial, AIA in Pasadena, Calif. "John Deenihan's 35 years of proven design, production management, business development and firm management skills are a tremendous asset to our clients and our company. At KKE, Deenihan will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, marketing, recruitment and development and management of the Pasadena office's projects through all phases including preparation of project budgets, design, contract documents and construction administration. Deenihan will also be responsible for helping to develop the Pasadena office's diverse portfolio and augmenting KKE's involvement in the China marketplace.
Prior to joining Rothenberg Sawasy Architects, Deenihan had his own design firm Deenihan Design Group, Inc. from 1994 to 2002. Deenihan also had a 20-year career with Feola Deenihan Archuleta Architects and began his professional career at Gruen Associates.
Deenihan received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Institute of Store Planners and International Council of Shopping Centers. He is a licensed Architect in California, Pennsylvania, Washington and Michigan, and holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification. He also holds inactive licenses in Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Nevada, Colorado, New York, Ohio, Virginia Illinois, Texas, Arizona and Hawaii.
Active in the community, Deenihan has served on the Executive Committee of the Glendale Adventist Medical Center Foundation Board in Glendale, Calif. and the North Valley YMCA Board of Managers in Mission Hills, Calif.
The addition of Deenihan comes on the heels of the announcement that the company added Gregory A. James to head up KKE’s Irvine office’s fast-growing retail division. James was formerly the Project Director and Director of Operations for MCG Architecture in Irvine, Calif.
