Bay Area Wine Aficionado’s Look Forward to First Formal Art and Wine Meetup

Wine, Art, and Web 2.0 come together at this event. Over 40 art and wine enthusiasts, many who have never met, communicating only via social networking, will meet face to face to share a glass of wine and their love of art. Social networking via the internet is more than just chat rooms and nameless people behind a computer screen. The Palo Alto Wine Meetup Group is viable way for professional communities to expand their social networks and common interests. Simply send an email and you have a over 40 people show up at your home or meeting place with wine and food. (It’s a phenomenon) The group has grown from 0 to over 400 members 4 months. We are adding 100 new members per month. Private events fill up in hours with long waiting lists.


Who: Palo Alto Wine Meet up Group

What: Palo Alto Wine Meetup Group hosts a PRIVATE wine tasting event at a downtown Palo Alto modern art gallery. Enjoy a glass of wine while viewing the work of contemporary artists in a chic setting.

When: Saturday, August 11, 2007, 6:00 PM—8:30 PM

Where: Downtown Palo Alto Art Gallery- Address to be released one week before event to those who rsvp’d

Theme: Light whites & neat, petite sweets.

Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, or your favorite WHITE dessert wine. (No red wine permitted)

Each guest should bring a bottle of wine that matches the theme ($15+) and an easy to eat elegant sweet such as petit fours, decadent truffles, mini biscotti, delectable cookies, etc?. and a glass. Keep it neat and sweet. Bring something that you can easily take home with you. The gallery does not provide clean up so please bring home bottles and treats.
