Canadian singer/songwriter Monica Joy from Zurich, Ontario, is one of sixteen international artists with a music video featured on the new Worldview website www.worldview.ca Other Canadian musicians include Joel Kroeker, best known for his hit song Goodbye Jane, guitarist Maneli Jamal and children's performers Bobs and Lolo.Sometimes described as “folk pop”, Joy’s music is an earthy, mellow blend of piano, guitars, violin, cello and African percussion. In her warm, honest vocals, it is easy to hear her heart for those who feel worn or crushed by life’s hardships, and her passion to live a life that delights her creator.
The video for Lend Me Your Hope was an obvious choice. In Joy's own words “I invite you to view it and share it with people who are in a difficult seasonof life, or are walking alongside someone who is.”
In addition to music videos, the website connects to Christian Children's Fund, Compassion, Plan, World Vision, and other international child poverty organizations including Unicef and Make Poverty History. Visitors to the site can also take an animated virtual tour to learn how child sponsorship works, or play the United Nations World Food Program's educational video game Food Force. (The World Food Program uses Worldview's virtual tour as a teacher's resource for the game.)
The Worldview promo video can be viewed on MySpace TV at
