Singapore, 8 Aug 2007 - ThinkSECURE Pte Ltd (www.securitystartshere.org) today announced that it will release a public edition of the Organizational Systems Wireless Auditor™ Assistant (OSWA™-Assistant) at an official launch event in Singapore on 8th August 2007. The OSWA™-Assistant is an integrated standalone wireless auditing software toolkit which enables WiFi (802.11), Bluetooth and RFID auditing. This public release can be freely downloaded for personal and professional use. Using the toolkit is as easy as placing it into your computer's CD drive and making your computer boot from it.
Compared to other LiveCD distributions, technical professionals will appreciate the OSWA™-Assistant's logically organized and redesigned toolkit menus, as well as its wide array of specialized wireless auditing tools.
Non-technical Home-owners and SOHO users are also catered to via the ActivityMap™ help system. Via a web interface, the ActivityMap™ helps non-technical or non-IT-security professionals to conduct basic security testing of their own wireless networks in a methodical and consistent manner. Using ThinkSECURE's 5E™ Methodology as a framework, the ActivityMap™ guides the user through the process of determining and proving if his or her network is secure or not.
"By providing this public edition of the OSWA™-Assistant and the ActivityMap™, we hope to do two things - first, give IT-security professionals a powerful resource to help them in their job of auditing wireless networks effectively and, second, we also hope to empower the man-on-the-street to secure his/her own wireless network and reduce the number of vulnerable wireless networks around," said Mr. Julian Ho, ThinkSECURE’s Chief Operations Officer.
