American Megatrends Inc. (AMI) – the leading storage solution provider launched its new storage solution – StorTrends iTX 2.7 IP SAN storage systems. StorTrends® iTX 2.7 is the latest addition to AMI’s family of storage systems.

The StorTrends iTX software supports dual dialect (NAS + IP-SAN) technology, to provide both block and file capability for customers, to utilize with applications like for customers to utilize with applications like Microsoft® Exchange, Microsoft® SQL Server, Oracle® and others.

StorTrends iTX2.7 software provides true enterprise-level features, at a pricing level that is within the range of small and medium sized businesses. Starting from a small capacity of 1TB, the range goes to 256TB of storage for the larger enterprises. AMI StorTrends iTX 2.7 incorporates SAS drives as well as SATA drives. A sophisticated algorithm ensures that critical often-used data is stored in the costlier SAS drive whereas the less important data is stored in the SATA drives.
