July 21, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
In response to the growing popularity of the outdoor living movement, Coventry Log Homes, Inc. is introducing The Wilderness Series, models of small-sized yet efficient log cabins. Weekend family camping has been a popular summer past time for many generations, most people who own recreational property reside within 200 miles of it so they can have fairly easy access to their sanctuary/retreat. Coventry Log Homes designed six small log cabins to meet the need for those who want enjoy their retreat with out the maintenance of a second home. Each log cabin uses a solid 4”x8” manufactured “D” log and each cabin in the Wilderness Series features a covered porch and exposed ceiling beams are the standard as well as a metal roof, which will make it more durable and resistant to natural decay.
The Getaway is the smallest of Coventry Log Homes Wilderness Series. It is a 12’x16’ one room cabin with a tiny closet-size room located center of the far end that could house a portable toilet. The largest of the Coventry Log Homes Wilderness Series is the The Lakeview which is 20’x28’. It sports two equal sized bedrooms, a bath and a loft which overlooks the living area. The Riverbend log cabin from the Wilderness Series has impressive visual appeal due to the wrap-around porch. The other names of the models in the Coventry Log Homes Wilderness Series are: The Mountaineer, The Creekside, and The Timbertrail.
The smaller size of the Wilderness Series logs make them easy to maneuver so assembly is less tiresome and easily managed. Even a small moderately-experienced team of builders can erect one of Coventry’s Wilderness Series log cabins in about three weekends.
For the first time ever, Coventry Log Homes is able to offer package financing for qualified buyers for one of the log cabins through Mountaintop Financial, with low monthly payments of around a $100.
Coventry Log Homes will be kick starting their campaign to promote The Wilderness Series with print advertising in various New England outdoor enthusiasts magazines, and having a presence at various N.E. sportsman shows as well as a television commercial spot which will air during the television series: Woods n’ Water. Coventry Log Homes executives formed a friendship with the shows’ hosts Peter and Kate Fiduccia some time ago and formed a formal business alliance last month by becoming sponsors of their show. The show is a family oriented hunting series that combines outdoor tip segments, the latest strategies, and includes an actual hunt that demonstrates a particular strategy or tactic. The Woods n’ Water host and camera crew are scheduled to arrive for filming the end of July. At that time the smallest of Coventry Log Homes Wilderness Series log cabin, The Getaway, will have been erected in the meadow next to the Somersworth model log home at 108 South Court Street in Woodsville and will be available for touring by the general public.
