BCC Software Releases Informative Data Services Guide
June 02, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Rochester, NY — BCC Software Inc, having recently produced a BCC Data Services Guide for exclusive use by BCC customers, will now make copies of the informative Guide available to all professional mailers, free of charge. The 20-page Guide offers a “tour” of the current Move Update landscape, which has seen extensive changes in recent years as the United States Postal Service (USPS) has struggled to reduce the costly industry-wide problem of Undeliverable As Addressed (UAA) mailpieces. The USPS currently enforces a Move Update requirement on First-Class MailTM, but the full spectrum of list-enhancement services covered in the Guide — USPS NCOALinkTM, Delivery Sequence File Second Generation, Suppression Services and more — can greatly improve deliverability and improve efficiency and economy for all classes of mail.
Included in the Guide are brief descriptions of the services, plus ROI examples that illustrate the potential impact they can have on a given mailing.
The services covered in the Guide are limited to those offered by BCC Software, “but that’s hardly limiting, considering BCC offers the full range of significant services currently used in the mailing industry for list hygiene and targeting,” according to Mark Higgins, BCC Data Services Manager.
“Our primary goal for this Guide was to educate BCC customers about the essential nature of these services,” Higgins added. “Still, everything it covers — from the industry overview and the service descriptions, to the FAQs and debunking of common misconceptions — is equally useful to all mailers, regardless of what service provider they’re currently working with.”
“We believe the BCC Data Services Guide is another way to help educate mailing industry professionals,” said Ted Seward, BCC’s Vice President of Marketing. “There are clear benefits to using these services that ultimately lead to improvement in you and your customers’ bottom line. We encourage everyone to request a guide, regardless of whether you are a BCC customer. There are educational tables that illustrate the effectiveness of services like NCOALink and suppression that can prove useful.”
Hard copy and electronic versions of the BCC Data Services Guide are available without cost or obligation. To request a copy, visit http://www.bccsoftware.com/promos/dataservices/ ; if you have specific questions about BCC Data Services, call (800) 337-0372.
