Celebrities Recreate Historic Voices in Manhattan Studio

Film stars Eli Wallach and Natasha Richardson recently lent their voices to a new documentary film chronicling the relations between Jews and Gentiles throughout history. A 2007 Storyville Films production, it is entitled, "Constantine's Sword" and presents human dramas told in the words of the original participants, from distant times to today's breaking news stories.

The film's soundtrack required reenacting some voices long gone. So Storyville producer Michael Solomon and director Oren Jacoby sought out a recording studio with experience in historic subject matter. They selected Tabby Sound in New York City, a long-established studio which has also become known for its audio contributions to The History Channel® TV programming.

In the film, Natasha Richardson, plays Dr. Edith Stein, a Gentile who wrote to the Pope, imploring action against the atrocities happening in Rome's streets in the 1930s. Eli Wallach, gives voice to an elderly Italian Jew recalling his deportation from Rome to the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz.
