PASADENA, Calif. (July 20, 2007) — CPGjobs has launched the first of more than a dozen planned specialty websites that will target industry executives in marketing, sales, category management, diversity jobs, market research, trade marketing, operations, finance, HR and other categories. www.CPGmarketingjobs.com offically went live in July and other websites will follow suit in in August. “These specialty sites will help increase traffic and attract new candidates by offering targeted job openings and services.” says Michael Carrillo, president of CPGjobs. “We expect them to quickly catch on with candidates.”
He added that employers will appreciate the new specialty sites even more. “By expanding our presence on the Web, we will spread our client’s job openings further and faster than ever—and there is no additional charge for this service to clients.”
Visitors to www.CPGmarketingjobs.com can zero in on specific categories within marketing, get a comprehensive listing of all marketing jobs, obtain the latest industry news and resources or go to CPGjoblist’s main site. New jobs are posted throughout the day, making finding and applying for jobs quick and easy. “The design is very intuitive,” Carrillo says. www.CPGmarketingjobs.com also features job alerts, career tips, resume and job-hunting help, industry news and calendar, and useful links to associations, publications and other websites.
The new category specialty sites are the latest in a series of transformational changes launched by CPGjobs, the consumer packaged goods industry’s leading recruiting service. “You’ve asked for new outreach and new options, and we’ve listened,” says Carrillo. In the past several months the company has launched a new employers website, redesigned the candidate home page, and created new company branding. “Our specialty sites are the most important change yet,” Carrillo notes.
Carrillo introduced the company’s new strategy to corporate HR executives, recruitment process outsourcing firms (RPO/ATS) and outplacement companies at the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference & Expo, June 24-27 in Las Vegas. “The response was uniformly positive. The recruiting industry is changing—and CPGjobs is changing with it.”
The biggest trends in recruiting today are candidate networking and diversity, Carrillo says, and “the two really go hand in hand. Our specialty sites will harness the power of web networking to draw diverse and qualified candidates, while our involvement with diversity organizations will also help us attract a diverse pool of candidates.”
Representatives of CPGjobs attend events such as the California Diversity & Leadership Conference (September 20-21 in San Francisco) and professional events like the annual meetings of the Network of Executive Women, the National Black MBA Association and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. CPGjobs is a founding corporate member of the California Diversity Council (part of the National Diversity Council), and Penelope Sallberg-Carrillo is the organization’s Southern California President.
Sallberg-Carrillo is also on the national membership committee of the Network of Executive Women (CPG and Retail Industry), an important diversity organization we sponsor. Sallberg-Carrillo will be attending the NEW Annual Leadership Summit, Oct. 15-16 in Dallas. CPGjobs is also a member of SHRM, the Black MBA Association and the Society of Hispanic MBAs.
CPGmarketingjobs will be followed by more category specialty sites this summer, including CPGdiversityjobs, CPGcategorymanagementjobs, CPGsalesjobs, CPGmarketresearchjobs, CPGtrademarketingjobs, CPGoperationsjobs and CPGfinancejobs, among others.
“Today’s changing recruiting environment and interactive media mean that we will always be improving CPGjobs and CPGjoblist,” Carrillo says. “When it comes to defining your needs and expanding our pipeline partnership, you’re the expert,” he says. “You know who you’re looking for and how you work. That’s why we want the industry’s personal input to expand our services and your flow of top-quality talent.”
To discuss your ideas, contact CPGjobs Marketing Director, Jackie Apodaca mailto:jackie@CPGjobs.comand “tell her how we can provide you with even more tools to recruit today’s top industry executives,” Carrillo says.
