Jade Esteban Estrada May Direct New Musical In South Korea

July 20, 2007 - New York, N.Y. – Director/choreographer Jade Esteban Estrada may direct and choreograph the upcoming musical “Queen of Shopping” this fall in Seoul, South Korea. The Comedy Central star is currently in negotiations with Music Itself, the South Korean production company who will bring the new musical to Seoul in November 2007.
Known to the world primarily as an actor, comedian and singer, Estrada is also a prolific director and choreographer having choreographed many Atlantic City stage shows for Latin TV personality Charo.
Estrada was the artistic director of his own dance troupe, Experiencia Dance Company which was housed at the legendary Teatro La Tea in New York.
He has also served as choreographer to many musical acts including the nightlife favorite all-girl group The Glamazons, who were recently seen on the nationally televised “America’s Got Talent.”
He directed the 2003 and 2004 productions of the Outmusic Awards, the 2004 Fresh Fruit Festival Awards and the 2004 Bearapalooza musical event all in New York
Estrada choreographed the highly successful “Tropical! The Latin Revue” at Museo Del Barrio in New York and has choreographed for many of today’s most popular beauty pageants including the Miss America Scholarship Program and the Miss Universe Organization.
The multitasking director has been seen on “The Graham Norton Effect,” “Friday Night Lights,” and “In the Life TV.” His popular Latin dance music can be heard on the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning police drama, "The Shield" on the FX Network.
