In a uniquely divine flow, Carrero’s words speak to the reader like an old friend, as she shares the very personal and real story of her own Spiritual Awakening. Several months after the death of her baby brother Larry at the age of 22, Margaret’s mind became plagued by nightmarish visuals of his suffering. In a moment of absolute surrender, Margaret’s Spirit was lifted up and forever transformed through a meditation in which she was blessed with “a glimpse of Heaven”. That glimpse sparked an intense fire deep within Margaret to share her story with others. Not only did she write “WAKE UP – A Seed of Thought” but she began to live what she had written by becoming consciously aware of the energies she put forth in every thought, word and action. Carrero explains, in simple ways, how “ego” rears its ugly head the more an individual seeks out Spirit. She soon began to understand that this was a part of life; each one of us will be faced with the inner struggle between “ego” and Spirit once the path towards Spirit has been unearthed and Spirit itself, awakened. She also offers hope that the more one focuses on elevating Spirit to the forefront of their thoughts, words and actions, the less power “ego” has to impose its negativities.

Carrero was born in Staten Island, New York where she lived until the age of ten before moving to California with her family in 1984 where she has stayed and now resides in Fresno. Carrero has 15 years experience in broadcast radio. Her voice has been heard on a variety of radio and television stations up and down California’s Central Valley from as far north as Yuba City to as far south as Fresno. She has been writing poetry since she was nine years old with “WAKE UP – A Seed of Thought” being her first full-length book. She is currently working on publishing her first poetry book and is putting the finishing touches on her first screenplay.
