The Boston Sailing Center’s last open house reception of the 2007 season – featuring free sailboat rides along Boston's historic waterfront – will be held on Saturday, July 21 from 1pm to 5pm at the Center’s sailing docks on Lewis Wharf in downtown Boston.

Seasoned skippers and first-time sailors of all ages are invited to join in the festivities. 'Round-the-harbor sailboat trips will be conducted by experienced skippers aboard boats ranging in length from 23 to 40 feet. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

In addition, the Center's teaching staff will be on hand to answer questions about sailing basics, and about the history of Boston Harbor as a focal point of maritime activity in New England.

Now celebrating its 31st anniversary season, the Boston Sailing Center is headquartered in a converted Louisiana riverboat that is permanently docked at Lewis Wharf. The Center’s floating classrooms and boat moorings are a five-minute walk north of Faneuil Hall Marketplace along Atlantic Avenue. Public parking is available nearby.

For more information about the event, contact the Center at (617) 227-4198 or visit the Center’s web site at www.bostonsailingcenter.com.
