Retirement Planning Month in July Celebrates Independence Day with Financial Freedom

July is now National Retirement Planning Month (NRPM) announces America's Retirement Strategist, Bill Losey. Losey is kicking off the National Retirement Planning Month by conducting free educational teleseminars with retirement and financial planning experts.Retirement planning is usually at the bottom of everyone's long list of things to do, according to Bill Losey. But like any important task, "It needs to go on your calendar, or it's not going to get done," he advises.
"By creating National Retirement Planning Month, we'll have an annual event to draw attention to this important topic, and get it moved from the To Do list to an Annual Checkup every July. "Once people focus on the topic, it will become less painful." Losey adds.
Losey created National Retirement Planning Month after hearing the concerns of the 5000 subscribers to his ezine, Retirement Intelligence. 40% of his readers' most significant concern is outliving retirement money, followed by 19% with concerns about health issues, and 17% about being able to keep up with inflation.
Convinced that if retirement planning started early enough, these concerns could be minimized, Losey hopes to start baby boomers, as well as younger generations, thinking about retirement strategies and educating themselves on their options.
During National Retirement Planning Month, Losey is offering free teleseminars that will address retirement and other financial issues. Guests include:
Ann Fry, the CEO and Head Boomer of It's Boomertime will appear on Thursday, July 19th, 10 a.m. EST. For more information on Ann, visit her online at www.itsboomertime.com.
Jeff Thredgold, Economist, Futurist, President of Thredgold Economic Associates, and author of ECONAMERICA: Why The American Economy is Alive and Well…and What That Means To Your Wallet will be Losey's guest on Friday, July 20th at 12pm EST. You can learn more about Thredgold at www.thredgold.com.
Kendra Todd, best selling author of Risk and Grow Rich: How To Make Millions in Real Estate and the only woman to have won on Donald Trump’s popular television show The Apprentice, will be Losey’s guest, Friday, July 27.
"I'm going to ask these experts the same questions I've been asked by over 500 of my seminar attendees during the last six months.” Losey states. Losey is referring to his seminars in California, New York and Pennsylvania for people in the 50-62 age range. Losey indicates that no matter what part of the country he is in, he always hears the same 10 questions.
Some of those questions are: "When can I retire?” "How much money will I need to retire?” "How long should I plan to live for?” "How do I keep up with inflation?” "Should I take Social Security now or later?"
Those questions and the others that Losey will ask his guests are his part in educating the public, and promoting July as National Retirement Planning Month.
Asked why he selected July as National Retirement Planning Month, Losey states: "We celebrate our country's independence in July, so it's a good time to also think about our own financial independence. We usually spend more time with our families in July, with vacations and the kids out of school. As we enjoy their company, it's a good reminder that we don't want them to have to worry about taking care of our financial needs some day."
"I'm on a mission to help as many people as possible live the retirement life they want,” Losey stated. To further his mission of educating the public about retirement planning, Losey’s book, Retire in A Weekend The Baby Boomers Guide to Making Work Optional, will be released in November 2007. National Retirement Planning Month is just the start of the educational process. There's much more to come," promises Losey.
