PIC Solutions Presents at Europe's Premier Credit Scoring Conference

Cape Town, 12 July 2007 – PIC Solutions, the leading specialist credit risk management consultancy in the Africa and Middle East region, will be presenting two papers at the tenth Credit Scoring & Credit Control conference in Edinburgh.

Hosted by the Credit Research Centre at the University of Edinburgh, the Credit Scoring & Credit Control conference will be held on 29-31 August 2007. Held every two years, this auspicious event attracts over 200 delegates from the international credit risk arena.

PIC Solutions has extensive knowledge and experience of the established and emerging credit risk industry and these presentations will provide insight into Africa and the Middle East markets.

The presentation, Making Affordability Models Work for You, will highlight the impact of using an affordability model in terms of risk, acceptance rates and profitability, in the changing South African environment. Additionally, the Middle East Skip Scorecards presentation will explore the prediction of foreigners leaving a country and how credit grantors can effectively use this model to minimise their risk.

During this 3-day conference, a panel of international presenters will also highlight key topics including credit scoring with macroeconomic variables, the effect of positive credit bureau data in credit risk models, responsible lending, scoring in the developing markets, application fraud detection models and Basel II.
