‘Six Bullets’ to be screened at two film festivals

The Pencil Head film festival announced today that it will be screening the world premiere of "Six Bullets", the short film by writer-director Graham Killeen. This marks the fourth year of the Houston-based international film festival.

"It's really exciting to be gathering this kind of momentum so quickly," confessed Killeen. "This is the kind of success we've been working so hard for."
This announcement comes on the heels of the short film's selection in another film festival, the Independents' Film Festival in Tampa, Florida. The Education Channel will televise the fourteenth annual IFF in the fall with presentations throughout the month of September, culminating in a best-of-the-fest screening at the historic Tampa Theatre.

Mercedes Hacker, the festival submissions coordinator, indicated that there may be more in store for "Six Bullets". More than a dozen submissions are still pending and "the film will be submitted to several other high-profile film festivals over the next few months," she said.

Signal Fire Films, the independent film company that produced "Six Bullets", was incorporated in Wisconsin in 2004 to "create independent film with local resources and talent," according to its mission statement.
