The Thank You Foundation to Send Celebrity-Signed Cards and Video Messages to Troops Overseas

The Thank You Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and enhancing the lives of Veterans and Active Duty Service Members, today announced it will be sending Thank You cards and video message DVDs from local celebrities in the sports and entertainment world to Veterans and troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The celebrity Thank You messages were recorded June 25 and 26 at the Doug Pelfry Kicks for Kids Celebrity Golf Outing at Triple Crown Country Club in Union, Ky as part of The Thank You Foundation’s “Thank You from the Stars” program.Among the celebrities that made video messages for the troops were former Bengal’s players Anthony Munoz, Dave Fulcher, Dave Lapham, Doug Pelfrey, Jim Breech, Louis Breeden, Max Montoya and Solomon Wilcots. Also featured on the DVD are current Cincinnati Bengals placekicker Shayne Graham; former Green Bay Packer Sterling Sharpe; former Cincinnati Reds player, Doug Flynn; co-host of the Prime Time Sports Show on 1230 WDBZ The Buzz in Cincinnati, Wayne Box Miller; and Cammy Dierking, Local 12 anchor.
“We appreciate these local celebrities taking a few minutes to recognize the efforts of our soldiers that are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, and we know that the troops that receive their messages will also appreciate the gesture,” said John Guinn, founder of The Thank You Foundation.
The Thank-You Foundation plans to distribute the Thank You cards in care packages following a Thank You card collection on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the Deals store on Fields Ertel Rd. in Symmes Township, Ohio. One of the recipients of the cards will be Corporal Joel Dulashanti from Forest Park, Ohio. Dulashanti was wounded in the Middle East and is currently recovering at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C.
