The BOSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT and HILL HOLLIDAY selected Bruce to help launch the nation’s first anonymous text tip line to help combat crime. A pro-bono project, Bruce photographed police badges and various backgrounds combined with powerful messages such as, “You are Not Right to Remain Silent”, “Save an Endangered Species Young People”, “To Reduce Violent Crime Press Send” – effectively reaching a whole new audience of teens and young adults. THE WALL STREET JOURNAL featured Bruce’s imagery in an article on text messaging as a crime-fighting tool on July 2, 2007. The BOSTON HERALD did a cover story on the campaign on June 15, 2007.
