One of the biggest drivers of change across the recruitment sector has been the Internet, which has played a major part in how people interact with recruitment companies and subsequently find new opportunities.

Flame Health has always been ahead of the curve within the online recruitment industry, offering quality, useful features to its candidates. The 9th July 2007 saw them offer their latest feature on www.flamehealth.com and www.flamepharma.com, Mapped Vacancies. Instead of searching by location via the traditional dropdown as found in most recruitment sites, Flame Health now allow the user to view a map of the UK with sector-based jobs ‘pinned’ around the country:

The technology mixes Flame Health’s vast database of vacancies with Google Maps allowing the user to browse for local jobs in a usable, familiar environment. Candidates can zoom, drag the map and view job titles direct from the mapping feature creating a richer but still intuitive experience.

Scott Liversidge Managing Director comments: “We have been continuously developing our website strategy. Our website provides comprehensive information for both clients and candidates when looking to use our services as a consultancy, easy to navigate and interact with, you can find new positions, upload vacancies search for candidates, whilst also providing pertinent information around the whole recruitment process.”

Scott Liversidge adds: “With the increased legislation within a somewhat unregulated market sector, we can now see evidence that professional people understand the type of service and the obvious numerous benefits that are attached to utilising a professional recruitment consultancy and are now, not quite so willing to send their CV to unregulated companies in order to find themselves a suitable new position – Job searching should be a joint strategic initiative not a pressurised gamble!”
