SoftScout.com, the largest business software directory on the Internet, announced it will use SoftRank™ (http://www.softscout.com/softrank) to help users find and evaluate software among the thousands of product listings on SoftScout. “Wading through the all the available software products out there is extremely challenging,” said Adam Fenstermaker, one of SoftScout.com’s co-founders. “SoftRank provides a way to let the industry leaders and quality products bubble up to the top of the list.”
SoftRank is a 0-10 score that indicates a software product's popularity as well as the content quality of the product’s SoftScout.com listing. Using SoftScout.com, customers can search and sort software products based on their SoftRank to come up with a short list of products that may fit their needs. SoftScout does not publish the exact calculations behind SoftRank to prevent artificial manipulation.
“SoftRank provides a unique way to evaluate software for your business,” added Matthew Bidwell, SoftScout.com other co-founder. “Features and functionality, industry focus, support networks, price, etc. still need to be taken into consideration. SoftRank just provides a good starting point.”
With over 10,000 enterprise software products from over 6,000 vendors, Grand Rapids-based SoftScout.com (www.softscout.com) is the largest business software directory on the Internet. SoftScout provides a comprehensive list of enterprise software solutions, allowing business professionals to locate, compare, and select the best available solution.
