July 16, 2004 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Irvine, CA — CasePost is a free on-line service for people seeking legal assistance to post their case and have lawyers express an interest in handling their case. According to Wes Fox, Casepost's President, "Within the last eighteen months our aggressive on-line marketing has driven more than 150,000 case postings to our member attorneys. Matter-of- fact, in some markets we need more attorney members to handle the number of posted cases'. Fox adds. "We are undaunted by LegalMatch's criminal attack on CasePost's business. We will continue to follow our business plan to offer more services at a lower cost. Thereby positioning CasePost to be the preeminent legal matching service on the Internet'.
According to Steve Young, Casepost's General Counsel, "Now that Dmitri Shubov, the president, of LegalMatch, has been indicted for criminal business sabotage, we are intending to bring a civil suit against LegalMatch and its key executives'. The indictment also alleges that Shubov knowingly made false statements to special agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. If he is convicted of all four counts in the indictment, Shubov faces a maximum penalty of 20 years.
CasePost is the way of the future for attorneys to generate new business as every month more than four million people go online seeking legal advice. It is estimated that, by 2005, this number will increase to nine (9) million. It is estimated that over 50% of Attorneys' new clients will come via the Internet.
Fox concludes, "CasePost's service is a win/win situation. It's free to the consumer. Four pre-screened member attorneys will compete for their business. Attorneys benefit because, with one click, they can go on-line and shop for cases they wish to handle'.
