Copper Recording Studios launched CopperCalendar.com

Copper Recording Studios launched coppercalendar.com, a local live music event calendar, in May of 2007.

According to John Blount, President of Copper Recording Studios, “The site has been designed to increase awareness about live music in the Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan area. People interested in local music can find information about their favorite bands and when they are playing.”

There are a number of features on the site including band/venue information, and signing up to receive e-mails about when bands are playing. Blount went on to say, “Our first month went really well. Many people have signed up for an account on the site and are receiving emails about when bands are playing…we have also exceeded the expected number of hits to the site in the first month.”

The Copper Concert Calendar isn’t only online; the calendar is the source for 91.1 The Globe’s daily concert calendar, as well as listing posters on The RedPost Goshen. Blount is also working with Secundine Promotions to help increase live music awareness.

“Included in the Copper Recording Studios mission statement is the phrase; Support Live Local Music. Through the Copper Concert Calendar and working with local media and promotion companies we hope to increase awareness of live music in the area.”
