InfoSoft Global has released FusionMaps – cross platform flash map component

InfoSoft Global has released FusionMaps v3 – customizable, 2D and 3D flash maps for dynamic web applications.

FusionMaps is a platform independent component that can be integrated with any server side scripting language. It can be used to plot map based on static data, data from forms and dynamic data from database. FusionMaps uses Flash technology to render the maps where data is fed in XML format. Hence all the map properties like Colors, Fonts and others can be modified by altering the XML file.

One significant feature of FusionMaps v3 is the “Marker Connector”. Marker Connector can be used to connect different geographic locations over the maps. FusionMaps is a collection of 186 maps including the states and counties of U.S, different regions of UK, Europe, Oceania, Asia, Africa and Middle East. Enhanced AJAX support, multi-lingual naming facility, dynamic resizing of maps without changing the source code etc. are some of the other important features of FusionMaps.

FusionMaps can be used for variety of purposes, e.g. representation of statistical data, business data, survey results, electoral results, transportation routes and many other which relate to geographic locations.
