3d-Teez and SlyngShot Web Site Solutions are launching ThankASoldier.us, a web site that gives people a new way to express their thanks to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. Through the sales of personalized apparel, currently t-shirts and sweatshirts, ThankASoldier.us is raising money for organizations that support veterans and their families. A full 25% of all sales will be donated to these organizations.
Each piece of clothing asks the question "got freedom?" and answers with a "Thank A" message with the logo of the appropriate branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. For example, someone with a loved one in the Army, may choose to have it say "Thank A Soldier". Someone with a loved one in the Marines may choose "Thank A Marine". Someone may also choose a more personalized recipient of their thanks such as "Thank My Dad" or "Thank My Daughter" or "Thank My Brother".
ThankASoldier.us is the idea of Toddd Clodfelter of Tucson, Arizona. The web site is dedicated to his father-in-law , Major Franklin D.R. Kestner Sr., U.S. Army Retired, and his "band of brothers", the "Chosin Few"; men who bravely fought in the battle of the Chosin Reservoir in November and December of 1950 during the Korean Conflict, the "forgotten war". Toddd and his family have developed this web site hoping to increase awareness of the personal nature of those who fight to defend our freedoms.
ThankASoldier.us promotes the idea that whatever the issue, cause, or case, our military and their families are serving to protect our nation, it's borders and ultimately us and our way of life. And sadly, some pay the ultimate price to sustain our freedom. Our servicemen also fight and sacrifice to promote freedom and democracy in other countries where people are ravaged with oppression, atrocities or who are just too weak or too ignorant to fight back. ThankASoldier.us is not concerned with political affiliation, but instead with simply and publicly acknowledging the service and sacrifice that our military endures.
