Acuity Secure Environmental Standard ISO14001

July 03, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Pioneering facilities management company Acuity Management Solutions has achieved the environmental standard ISO 14001. Acuity, which has its headquarters at Keele University’s Innovation Centre and offices in London and Cardiff, has achieved the standard for its ongoing work to reduce waste, implement a recycling policy and conserve and utilise resources in a sustainable manner.

Since its launch in 1999, the company has carved out a niche as a pioneer of innovative, outsourcing solutions in the field of facilities management, along with facilities consultancy work and project management.

As well as ISO 14001, the company also holds the recognized quality standard ISO 9002.

Malcolm Flanagan, safety, health and environment manager at Acuity, said: “It has taken around 12 months to work to the certification and it’s a great move forward for the company.

“We have always been proud of the service we offer our clients and the way that we conduct our business with regard to environmental matters.

“Now with the award of ISO 14001 certification, this has been confirmed by outside experts, who are used to judging standards on a daily basis in a wide variety of trades and industries.”

Jim Sinnett undertook the environmental assessment for QMS Quality Management Systems. He said: “The investment in people and training enables Acuity to provide an efficient and environmentally friendly service to their customers.”
