Lehman, Lee & Xu Congratulates Its Hong Kong Office

Beijing, China ¨C June 28, 2007 ¨C LEHMAN, LEE & XU expresses congratulations to its Hong Kong office and the people of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region during their 10th year anniversary celebration since handover of the former British colony to Mainland rule.

To mark the event, the firm's Hong Kong office will be closed on July 2, 2007.

Although there have been some difficulties and challenges in integrating the ¡°one country, two systems approach¡±, there have been many advantages achieved by both sides. For example, China has gained a strong financial center with relatively closer ties to overseas markets, while Hong Kong has strengthened its cooperation with Mainland productive enterprises. The Closer Economic Participation Agreement (CEPA) is intended to further this cooperation, in facilitating financial cooperation between the two regions.
