Lucas 'sweetens' its housing deals

Lucas Property Group has been easing its way through a slow property market on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia, this year by offering some “sweet deals” to buyers of house-and-land packages. Sweeteners have included: payments of a thousand dollars a month into the mortgage accounts of buyers; full finance without a deposit; and free new cars.

The property developer offered to pay one thousand dollars a month for a year into the mortgage accounts of customers who bought one of its house-and-land packages.

Lucas estimated that this sweetener would save each customer $12,000 during the first year of a housing loan.
This deal applied to some house-and-land packages at Highview Estate at San Remo on the Central Coast.

Lucas says it has also offered at Highview some of the “cheapest new-house-and-land packages on the Central Coast” fully financed on no deposit.

To the first three customers who bought a block of land or house-and-land package at Highview, Lucas offered at one time the sweetener of a small, new car, a Hyundai GETZ sedan.

Other sweeteners with house-and-land packages at Highview have included: turf in front and rear yards, paved driveway and path, lapped and capped fencing, insulation, carpets and tiles, as well as the usual bitumen road, concrete footpath, underground electricity, water, sewer, gas and telephone.

Lucas Property Group says it is still offering some sweet deals to customers
at Highview Estate although, because the market is starting to move along, the deals may never be quite as sweet.
Remaining house-and-land packages at Highview include new brick-and-tile, four-bedroom homes priced from $304,500. Housing sites are priced from $145,000.
Highview Estate is beside Budgewoi Lake. Many of the new home sites present lake views and all offer bush land views and ready access to a lakeside reserve.
It is five minutes easy drive to the ocean beach at Budgewoi and is five minutes to the expressway leading to Sydney and Newcastle, less than one hour’s drive from Wahroonga.
