Applied Tactical Technologies, Inc., (ATT-TACTICAL™) a privately held New York corporation that provides weaponry, explosives and support equipment to law enforcement and military end-users, announced today that they have been awarded through a highly competitive bid process, a contract to supply protective apparel to the department’s Crisis Action Team (CAT). Damascus is a major supplier of correctional and riot gear specifically designed and manufactured to protect officers from serious injury during public disturbances, as well as day to day law enforcement efforts.“It was a highly charged bid process with another vender of a competitor product challenging the validity of our bid prices. In the end, it was our product’s design, quality and price that convinced the department’s CAT supervisor that Damascus Protective Gear would be their choice. The status quo of the monolithic multi-national holding company dominating the market place is coming to an end, and we are strategically positioned to take the lead,” stated Jon Glazer, Applied Tactical Technologies’ Information Director. “All our hard work, time and expense in achieving this major award was well spend.”
