Broadband comparison site Broadband Genie welcomes news that Freedom2surf is giving free phone calls to its broadband customers.

Freedom2surf is giving away 500 minutes of free local and national phone calls to all its broadband customers. “Freedom2talk” is available to new and existing customers, combined with up to 8Mb broadband, which starts at £13.99 per month.

Alternatively customers can pay an extra £4.99 a month to get 3,000 local and national call minutes each month.

Freedom2Surf customers can sign up for the deal online or call Freedom2surf customers services.

Broadband Genie CEO Philip Wilkinson says: “It’s good to see Freedom2Surf offering its customers free phone calls. 500 minutes a month is a lot of talking so customers are effectively getting 8Mb broadband and UK landline calls for just £13.99 a month. For those that like to spend even more time on the phone, 3,000 minutes for an extra £4.99 a month is a pretty good deal too.”
