1000Bulbs.com (1000-Bulbs) announced today that they have joined in partnership with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) as an ENERGY STAR partner. The commitment of ENERGY STAR and 1000-Bulbs is to promote energy efficiency as an easy and desirable option for organizations and consumers to prevent pollution, protect the global environment, and save on energy bills. Through this commitment, 1000-Bulbs has agreed to promote ENERGY STAR qualified products and to improve the energy performances of its own facilities.
“One of the goals of 1000Bulbs.com is to utilize cutting-edge lighting technology to provide the most energy efficient and cost-effective products possible,” said Kim Pedersen, 1000Bulbs.com Founder and CEO. “By discounting our ENERGY STAR products, we enable consumers to more easily switch to energy saving alternatives like compact fluorescent bulbs that last 10 times longer and operate at 20% of the annual operating cost the first year.”
“We are asking organizations and consumers throughout the world to join with us to institute better power management of their offices and homes and purchase energy-efficient lighting products," Pedersen added.
