Long Island, New York - May 24, 2005 – Pedal Pushers Online (http://www.pedalpushersonline.com) started life as a cycling club on Long Island in June of 2002. Harnessing the energies of its Principles, the club soon grew into one of the premier Web sites for cyclists. As more content and features have been offered, the Web site's traffic has exploded from a scant few hundred hits in an average month, to over 300,000 hits this month. "With the kind of growth in readership we've experienced this past year, the sky is the limit!” said Daniel Neuburger, Vice President and Creative Director “And we are definitely setting our sights high."
The site has grown into one of the premier Bicycling e-Magazines on the Web. Flush with ride stories, anecdotes, and articles on training, fitness, events, gear reviews, and more. It has quickly become the best source of cycling info for everyday cyclists and elite athletes alike. Pedal Pushers Online is unique in its visually rich presentation of the cycling experience and its rapid, real time reporting of breaking news in the world of cycling. Content written by professional staff, and reader/rider contributions gives Pedal Pushers a unique, real world perspective on the sport, and a "keep the rubber side down - no nonsense appeal."
The sites' staff also offers some interesting offline cycling diversions such as The Spring 2005 Before Breakfast Club Rides (BBC). These rides occur just after sunrise but before the first morsels of food. Running in the summer months, the BBC is a brisk morning run for the true "bike junkie" The average run begins at 6am in Baldwin New York, about 3x's a week and ranges from 15 to 30 miles along the western south shore of Long Island. Like all other Pedal Pushers Online rides, no rider will ever be dropped and the least accomplished rider sets the pace. All riders are welcome. Be sure to check the Calendar of Events and the forums on the Web site for details To sign up to ride, drop an email to rider_rsvp@pedalpushersonline.com
