Advanced Wellness Expands Practice with MUA Certification

MARLBORO, NJ (June 20, 2007) – Advanced Wellness, chiropractic, physical therapy and pain management center, today announced that two of its doctors have become certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA). Dr. Joseph J. Cilea and Dr. Gary Yen can now apply this technique that uses manual manipulation of the spine, hips, shoulders and knees combined with light sedation.

MUA is an outpatient procedure that allows specially trained physicians and chiropractors to readjust muscles and joints for chronic pain sufferers. MUA treatment is recommended for patients who have been unresponsive to traditional methods of pain management.
