Peaceable Kingdom Press™ – First Licensee for Calico Critters®

Berkeley, CA, (June 21, 2007) – Peaceable Kingdom Press is excited to announce a new licensing partnership developed with International Playthings, Inc. for the timeless Calico Critters of Cloverleaf Corners property. For the first time ever, licensed merchandise featuring illustrated versions of the beloved characters and environments of Cloverleaf Corners will be extended beyond the Calico Critters line of miniature flocked animal families, homes and accessories.

Peaceable Kingdom Press has planned an extensive stationery and toy collection that will feature the Calico Critter’s illustrated art. Included are cards, puzzles, a secret keeper treasure box and stationary set, a lock & key diary, Valentine cards, stickers, and more! Valentine product will be released in September 2007, with the full Calico Critters product collection to follow in January 2008.

The cute and cuddly Calico Critters are a specialty retail sensation. These adorable flocked mini critters (1 ¼” to 3” high) are poseable with jointed arms and legs and heads that turn, and feature removable clothing. In addition to the dolls, there are play environments, accessories, and furniture. It’s like an extended dollhouse village. The dolls are collectible and many retailers report girls well into their teens collecting the newest families.

Sneak previews of the products will be available at the ASTRA show in June 2007, Booth 324. All product will debut at the International Toy Fair in New York, February 2008.
