Industry Veteran Bob Hayward Joins Springboard Research in Key Role

Singapore – June 2007 – Springboard Research, a leading innovator in the IT Market Research industry, today announced that Bob Hayward, a pioneer in the Asia IT analyst community, has joined Springboard as Research Vice President.

Hayward’s key focus will be to support Springboard as the company continues to expand its presence and services in Asia and globally. In this role, he will be responsible for research strategy, company positioning, and executive thought leadership. Hayward will also represent Springboard in the IT and user community.

Hayward brings 28 years of experience to Springboard, having most recently served as Senior Vice President and Research Fellow, Asia-Pacific and Japan, for Gartner, where he was responsible for the company’s growth strategy and business development in Asia-Pacific and Japan. Hayward joined Gartner in 1995, and was their first employee in Asia Pacific and Japan.

In his more than two decades in the IT industry, Hayward has worked in Europe, the U.S. and Asia-Pacific at various senior levels within the Software and IT Services industry. He is the former Vice Chairman of the Australian Information Industries Association (AIIA) and previous Chairman of the AIIA Public Policy Task Force. Hayward also regularly advises IT Ministers in Australia, Singapore, India, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Hayward is a frequent keynote speaker at dozens of conferences and symposiums across the Asia-Pacific region, and is a regular guest on regional TV and radio technology shows.
