Kent, Washington, June 17, 2007 – Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) celebrates women of the Puget Sound with its second annual Wine, Women, Wow event on Friday, June 29, 2007 from 6 to 10 p.m. Sponsored by KDP and presented by the Auburn Regional Medical Center, Wine, Women, Wow will be held at Green River Community College at Kent Station. Women will enjoy an evening of socializing, networking and pampering while sampling a variety of fine wines, enjoying delicious appetizers and desserts from local restaurants, trying free spa services from local salons, and shopping at booths hosted by local business people, entrepreneurs and artists. Emceed by Sylvia McDaniel with special guests Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke and Seattle Storm COO Karen Bryant, this popular event offers an opportunity for women to meet and treat each other.
“We are so excited to bring Wine, Women, Wow back to Kent this year,” co-chair Sommer Ueda of Kent Station said. “Last year we had more than 250 women in attendance and received great feedback about how much fun it was. We hope everyone will come out to enjoy Wine, Women, Wow this year!”
Advance tickets are on sale now for $20 each at select Kent businesses including Earthworks Gem Design Studio, American Charm, New Earth Books, Rainy Day Treasures & Gifts, Renaissance Yarns, Marie Haggin Designs and Farrington Court. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $25 each. The purchase of a ticket automatically enters each guest into a drawing for one of three gift baskets: Wine, Women and Wow. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the YWCA’s Domestic Violence Program.
