BCC Software to Release Job Manager Premium Option for Mail Manager 2010 Software in July

Rochester, NY — BCC Software, a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company and a leading developer of high-performance mailing technology solutions, announces the release of Job Manager, the latest premium option to be produced as an enhancement for Mail Manager 2010 presorting and list-management software. Job Manager, a deluxe automation resource that works in conjunction with the previously released TaskMaster option, delivers fully unattended mailroom automation capabilities with remarkable front-end simplicity. The option has a July 1, 2007, release date. For years, the popular TaskMaster option has made powerful mailroom automation functionality available to Mail Manager 2010 users. Intuitive onscreen “Record” and “Play” buttons enable the preservation of an individual task, or the steps of an entire recurrent mailing job, for unattended action at a later time.
The new option takes TaskMaster’s convenience and value an important step further. Users establish a watch folder that will be continuously monitored by Job Manager; any file dropped into the folder that matches user-defined specifications (e.g., file type, originator, etc.) is processed and returned to a completed job folder for later retrieval. Job Manager can send an e-mail to pre-determined recipients (even to a PDA or Web-enabled cell phone) with notification that the job has been started or completed, or if a problem interrupted its successful completion.
Job Manager will be of particular use to service bureaus administering client-based FTP sites where mailing jobs may be deposited at any time, day or night, without direct operator supervision. “Job Manager takes TaskMaster’s functionality to an exciting new level,” said BCC President K. Jon Runstrom. “This option opens new doors of unattended productivity to current and future Mail Manager 2010 customers, and allows them to be even more responsive to client needs. We’re delighted to make Job Manager available to the mailing community.”
Current TaskMaster subscribers can upgrade to the Job Manager option for $1,500 through September 30, 2007, and for $2,500 beginning October 1. Non-TaskMaster users can purchase Job Manager (which includes a TaskMaster subscription) for $2,300 through September 30, and for $3,000 thereafter.
