ITpreneurs’ Trainer Certification Program Swings into Action

June 13, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Rotterdam, June 13, 2007 - Delivering on its commitment to raise the bar in best practice training, ITpreneurs conducts the first in a series of COBIT Train-the-Trainer (TTT) events in Rotterdam this week. In this first TTT event under ITpreneurs’ comprehensive Trainer Certification Program (TCP), 20 trainers from across Europe and the Middle East will be trained to deliver ITpreneurs’ COBIT Foundation Course™. The second TTT training will be hosted in New York City from June 25 to June 29, and other TTT events will be announced shortly.

ITpreneurs TCP, launched in May 2007, is taught by black belt trainers from ITpreneurs’ global trainer network. Brian Childers, from Atlanta, Georgia, will lead the TTT event in Rotterdam. Brian is an ITpreneurs black belt trainer and recognized expert in the IT governance domain.

Trainers participating in the event will receive in-depth training on delivering ITpreneurs’ COBIT range of training courses, which are co-developed with ISACA® and ITGI®, the owners of the COBIT framework. ITpreneurs is the only content provider in the industry that sources COBIT training content directly from the source ¯ ISACA and ITGI.

On the first 3 days of the event, the trainers will undergo the full COBIT Foundation Training course with the COBIT Games™. On the 4th and 5th days, trainers will go into more depth and learn how to deliver the course for optimal results. They will also receive special training on how to prepare their students for passing the COBIT Foundation exam. Throughout the course, interactive case studies and the COBIT Games are used for maximum retention and to inject an element of fun and excitement into the training.

Commenting on ITpreneurs’ TCP, Julie Mohr, ITpreneurs black belt trainer and author of “The Help Desk Audit: Blueprint for Success,” says “There is nothing worse than hearing from the students that a course they have taken was a disaster - ‘The instructor that initially provided the first course was awesome, but subsequent instructors were not of the same caliber of expertise.’ The TCP program is very robust, ensuring that instructors demonstrate their abilities and if not up to standards for delivery, they have an individual plan for improvement based upon their unique needs. I think this is a necessity to ensure quality delivery across the board in the COBIT framework. It’s like applying a robust control framework to the training accreditation process!”

ITpreneurs’ acclaimed courseware-generation methodology allows ITpreneurs’ reseller partners to rapidly deploy best practice training courses in frameworks, including ITIL, COBIT, and ISO/IEC 20000, across the globe, in 10 different languages, through its network of accredited trainers. ITpreneurs’ training products are available as classroom, e-learning, or blended courseware. Only ITpreneurs’ accredited trainers, certified by ITpreneurs’ TCP, are qualified to teach ITpreneurs COBIT courses.

About the COBIT Foundation Course
ISACA and ITpreneurs have successfully updated the COBIT Foundation Course to align it with COBIT Version 4.1. The COBIT Foundation Course helps IT, audit, risk, and compliance professionals master COBIT at a foundation level and apply this knowledge within the organizations they support. The course helps the professionals understand how COBIT can be used in a logical and understandable manner and validates this knowledge through assessments and quizzes. The course includes an Exam Preparation module, which prepares the participants to take on the official ISACA COBIT Foundation exam.
