New online writing agency set to revolutionise the freelance marketplace

A new online agency for freelance writers, editors, proofreaders and translators is set to revolutionise the freelance marketplace.

WritingWorld.org launched this month, and has already signed up dozens of talented freelancers with expertise in the fields of copywriting, ghostwriting, translation and copyediting. The agency is based in West Lothian, Scotland, but has built up a worldwide database of freelancers and clients.

“Businesses are relying on contract workers more and more often these days,” explains WritingWorld.org director, Amber McNaught. “There’s a growing trend to take people on for the duration of a specific project rather than on a permanent basis, and to buy in the expertise you need. The problem with this is that it can be hard to know whether you’ve picked the right person for the job.

“Businesses who need to employ freelance copywriters, for example, often don’t know much about copywriting themselves, and wading through dozens of CVs and writing samples can be time-consuming and confusing. That’s where we come in.”

WritingWorld.org takes each project a client needs assistance with and finds the best freelancer to fit the role, liasing between the client and writer until the project is completed. The client gets the kind of quality job they’re looking for, without the hassle of finding a writer, and there are benefits for writers, too.

“Freelancing is becoming very popular as a career choice as people start to explore the benefits of working from home and having a flexible schedule,” says McNaught. “Many freelancers, however, find that they spend more time looking for writing work than they actually spend writing. Our service frees them up to concentrate on what they do best, so there are huge benefits for them, too.

WritingWorld.org also offers free resources for writers, plus an online discussion forum which allows aspiring writers to discuss their craft. To find out more, please visit http://www.WritingWorld.org
