ANIME SELECTS RETURNS TO AX WITH MORE INTERACTIVE SHOWS!

Comcast’s Anime Selects ON DEMAND network will return to Anime Expo® this year with an amazing lineup of special events at their studio on the convention floor. The annual extravaganza for fans of Japanese-style animation and manga, Anime Expo® will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California, June 29-July 2. Returning this year are fan favorite events such as Open Mic, Konami’s DDR, Cosplay Contest and Bang Zoom!’s Adventures in Voice Acting workshop where fans try their hand at being a VO actor.

The new event at the Anime Selects studio is Red Octane’s Guitar Hero II. This successful game will make its AX debut and Anime Selects is thrilled to have fans stop by and share their god-like guitar skills.

To add to the excitement of the convention, Anime Selects is strongly encouraging anime clubs that plan on attending AX to participate in many of our events. Do you think your anime club is the best in the nation? Prove it by stopping by our studio and join in our events.

Last year, Anime Selects followed Man-Faye for a day around AX. This year, they’re looking to follow 10 devoted Otaku who would love to share their story of how and why they attend AX. To participate, please send an email to info@animeselects.com with your name, age, picture of yourself in cosplay and a short essay (no more than 200 words) on the following: “Why cosplay is important to anime conventions.” You must be an AX attendee to participate.
