OSOYOU.com announces Content Team
June 09, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
As OSOYOU.com heads towards launch this summer, it is headed up by Creative Director Sarah Woodhead, who joined the project in January. The team also includes Content Editors Andrea Mann and Anna Wakeford. Prior to joining OSOYOU.com Sarah Woodhead worked as a digital media consultant to some of the leading publishing corporations in the UK including emap, Future, ILNG and IPC. A former PPA Editor of the Year, Sarah has an extensive background in women’s digital media, having previously worked as a launch editor at IPC’s BEME.com and editor-in-chief of Freeserve’s women’s portal icircle.com. In 2004 she became Head of Content for Freeserve, developing 18 content channels and carrying them through Freeserve’s rebrand to Wanadoo.
Content Editor Andrea Mann has a strong track record in fashion and beauty journalism, freelancing most recently and, previous to that, as fashion, beauty and celebrity editor of icircle.com and chief celebrity writer on orange.co.uk, (formerly Wanadoo and Freeserve). Before that, Andrea was Head of Interactive Content at ITV Digital.
Content Editor Anna Wakeford joins the team from a journalistic background in women’s consumer and teen media spanning titles including She, Grazia, Cosmopolitan, Smash Hits and Bliss. Prior to joining the team, Anna held the position of Online Editor for the teen title Bliss’ online offering mybliss.co.uk.
Dawn Bebe, MD of OSOYOU.com, said: ‘I’m thrilled to be able to announce the news of our Content Team appointments. Coming from a varied background in women’s and fashion print and online media, we’ve recruited some of the most talented players in the digital media field onto the OSOYOU.com team. The proven experience of the individual members, plus our combined goal of becoming the leading shopping social network within 12 months will help to launch OSOYOU.com as a major player in Web 2.0 market.’
Launching to consumers this Summer, OSOYOU.com will be the first fashion-focused Web 2.0 site, offering women a ‘virtual shopping experience’, combining shopping with a sophisticated online social network. Headed up by Dawn Bebe, ex-MD of emap élan, OSOYOU.com’s content will be the only comprehensive virtual fashion experience for women, which allows users access to a wide range of products and then share style tips and ideas with a like-minded community. It will allow users to drag and drop items into their own style file and share knowledge and advice to other users who sign up to the social network on the site.
