Detroit's Mason Elementary School continues to grow through new and innovative programming, state of the art technology, and exciting student activities. "It is thrilling to be part of the school's continued growth," said Sue Smith, co-founder of the "Read a Book, See the World" program that has increased 'at risk' student's reading scores at Mason by 100%. "Our program is one of many great opportunities that students have here … and we care deeply for the continued development of Mason and their many programs," added Smith.
Parents may now enroll their children at Mason, which is hosting an open house on June 7th, 4 PM – 8 PM. Parents can learn all about the educational benefits of Mason, tour the facilities, and meet the teachers, while their children can participate in fun-filled activities, games, and enjoy snacks and refreshments.
"Our open house is a great way to see all of the exciting programs and accomplishments in learning that our students achieved here every day," said Edrire Wilson, Principal of Mason, "…we hope to see a lot of interested parents."
