The OC Pavilion to Feature Former Monkee Star Peter Tork

The OC Pavilion is pleased to welcome to the main stage Peter Tork and Shoe Suede Blues on Sunday, August 5th, starting at 7 PM. Opening up for the band is Pleasant Valley Sunday, a popular Monkees tribute band.

The music performed by Peter Tork and Shoe Suede Blues is an eclectic mix of original blues, pop, classic rock and a few blues-versions of Monkee hits. CD Baby calls the music performed by Shoe Suede Blues “heartfelt, soulful, uplifting and unforgettable”.

Peter Tork is a former member of the world-famous 1960’s pop group, The Monkees. Peter has also established a number of bands in the past, including The New Monks and The Peter Tork Project. Tork plays a wide variety of instruments, including the 5-string banjo, piano/keyboards, drums, guitar and bass.

Band mates Grammy-award winner Richard Mikuls, Jeff Olson and Arnold Jacks have performed with such influent recording artists as Ray Charles, BB King, Ronnie Dawson, Chaka Khan, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and The Pointer Sisters. Mikuls has also produced music for TV shows and movies such as Home Improvement, Boy Meets World, Unhappily Ever After, Ellen and The Last Dance.

The doors to the OC Pavilion including the world-class Ambrosia Restaurant and The Vault VIP lounge open at 5:00 PM. The Vault VIP lounge offers cocktails, appetizers and desserts and features live. Ambrosia Restaurant offers 5-star dining in an opulent setting with the 2007 Orange County Music Award winning Chris Williams and his trio. Dinner reservations for the Ambrosia Restaurant are highly recommended.
