MataiTech LLC will be previewing its upcoming EDA release, NAUET (newt) 2.0, at the Design Automation Convention in San Diego CA on Monday, June 4th. The demonstration will take place at the SPIRIT Consortium General Public meeting. It will be held in San Diego Convention Center Room 26AB. The meeting room will open at 6:00 PM. Demonstrations will start at 7:30PM. During the open demonstration, MataiTech will provide a free IP-XACT lint and semantic check to anyone who wishes to bring an IP-XACT file.“MataiTech is quickly establishing itself as the leader in SPIRIT support and direction,” explained Erik Jessen, CEO of MataiTech. “We have recently been promoted to Contributing Member by the Consortium. The Consortium recognized the advances we were making with our tools, specifically the launch of the world’s first SPIRIT IP-XACT linter in December 2006 and the launch of the world’s first SPIRIT IP-XACT import wizard in March 2007. We will be contributing heavily to the standard. We will be providing new examples that take full advantage of the SPIRIT standard and of course we will wrap those with all the extras that MataiTech tools supply.”
NAUET 2.0 improves upon the 1.8 release by adding XPATH support and improved RTL generation. The IP-XACT import wizard has also been improved. The System C models generated by NAUET are now generated with support for Microsoft Visual Studio and are linked with the corresponding C/C++ code.
“The improved IP-XACT import wizard and RTL generation are really cool,” explained Aaron Baranoff, VP of Engineering at MataiTech. “The XPATH support allows handling of complex VHDL and Verilog. We were always good at linking up various IP blocks with our Design Assembler, but now we can do it on varying bus widths and handle complex Verilog and VHDL.”
NAUET (newt) is MataiTech’s 5th generation co-development tool. Compatible with major EDA tools, NAUET creates a parallel, symbiotic design flow environment for co-development of SoC hardware and software. NAUET automatically links IP blocks, generates Verilog, VHDL, C, SystemC, RTOS framework, design documentation and test code. NAUET accelerates HDL coding and C/C++ coding to quickly allow engineers to begin application, driver and HDL development. NAUET edits lints and semantic checks IP-XACT files. It is capable of converting existing SPIRIT IP-XACT 1.2 designs to the SPIRIT IP-XACT 1.4 standard. Designs created with NAUET Component Editor are reusable as IP in later projects. NAUET™ is bundled with a light weight, royalty free RTOS and many OpenCores IP blocks so customers can quickly create a SoC right out of the box. NAUET provides Windows Vista support. NAUET is part of MataiTech’s commitment to track and lead standards to the benefit of its customers.
Free 30 day trial licenses are available for interested customers and press.
