Parlec to Showcase Product Lines at Global Trade Fair

Fairport, N.Y. - Parlec Inc., a worldwide leader in tooling, workholding and presetting solutions, announced it will exhibit its latest innovative and technologically advanced machining solutions at EMO Hannover, the leading trade fair for the metalworking industry, September 17th to the 22nd in Hannover, Germany.

The event, EMO Hannover -World of Machine Tools & Metalworking, will attract manufacturing technology suppliers from around the world to exhibit and demonstrate the efficiency and technological advancements of their products.

Parlec will showcase its latest and most advanced tool measuring system, the Parsetter 1500 TMM®. The bench top machine provides complete presetting, tool inspection, and tool measurement along with exceptional repeatability under almost any condition.

Representatives and technical experts will be on hand to demonstrate and highlight features of the 1500 including the system’s ergonomic, one-hand positioning which allows the tool edge to come quickly into view, while the dynamic crosshairs automatically find and track the cutting edge. The system also features the flexible configuration of axial orientation and measurement values, which allow the 1500 to be used for both turning and milling applications on one vertical presetter platform.

Parlec’s driven and static tool line will play a prominent role in this year’s event. Advanced bearing and seal technology, along with strict quality guidelines, make these tools a vital component to world-class OEMs such as Citizen, Daewoo, Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki and Nakamura. Parlec incorporates Supermill® technology into every tool providing a superior surface finish, increased rigidity, increased speed and feed rates, longer cutter lengths, and longer tool life compared to conventional tools.

Parlec’s workholding line will also be on display at EMO Hannover. The PWS-6900 vise, with the largest jaw opening in its class (nine inches), will be available for demonstration. This vise has an angle-lock design to prevent lifting of the movable jaw and offers a bed height matched to size 2.875" (73.025mm) +/- 0.0005" with repeatability within 0.001. Production series vises, with features designed specifically for the grueling production environment, will also be on site.
