On behalf of the Gallery, all are invited to experience the artistic works of Pat Mahony and Frank Damiano from June 1, 2005 through July 3, 2005 at the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, California. A special opening reception will be held at the Gallery on June 4th in honor of their artistic talents. Pat Mahony is one of the top five Sacramento Valley painters. No longer considered to be a mid-career artist, she is now an established and well-known painter. Twenty-five years ago her architectural buildings and storefronts gave her international acclaim. For the last fifteen years she has been primarily a Sacramento Valley landscape painter, incorporating the Sacramento rive as a pivotal motif in her body of work. Everyone who sees her works has always seen them as what has propelled her towards fame. She has shown at the internationally know Allen Stone Gallery in New York City.
A graduated from Central Washington University, WA with his Bachelor of Arts, Pat Damiano executes his paintings using an ancient wax technique with a combination of oil painting to create luminescent pieces that possess a certain life. A majority of Damiano's work contains a juxtaposition of a serious academic subject matter with a modern icon or imagery. The roots of his work can be traced back to the old European and Baroque masters, including Degas and Vermeer.
